The government has been in the process of changing their economy from exporting raw materials to foreign markets and importing high tech components and products to an economy that is capable of supplying its domestic markets with high tech components and products and eventually becoming a net exporter of technology.

Your Next Textbook: An Apple iPad

On March 30, Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania announced that all students will receive a 13″ MacBook laptop and an iPad. Seton Hill is not the only university embracing the iPad: George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon will offer incoming freshmen a choice of a new MacBook or the iPad.

The Display Behind (in Front of) the Apple iPad

Nearly a year ago, we at DisplaySearch blogged about what Apple’s rumored (now launched) tablet would be, including what features it might have and what the display technology would be used.  We hypothesized such a device would use a  ~10″ LED-backlit TFT LCD display, have high color saturation, and “…a wide viewing angle both horizontally and vertically.” We also ruled out OLED and sunlight readability as possibilities.
